This week in Toddler House 2 we learned about the ocean and the animals within it! We enjoyed getting to practice our fine motor, practical life, language, art, and mathematics skills this week! All with fun themed materials.
Our friends used fine motor skills to practice opening and closing some gorgeous clam shells. Upon opening them we found beautiful surprises inside! Each day we were excited to open them to see what was hiding inside and we enjoyed hiding other items within them to surprise others as well.
We practiced our practical life, concentration, and precision skills with learning how to carefully handle delicate seashells. Our friends then used a small brush and water to clean them off and make them shine!
We put our language skills to work by practicing our color matching. The kiddos were presented with 5 fun sea creatures and 5 colored flash cards. They worked on matching each colored animal to the corresponding colored card.
Our toddlers also got to use their artistry skills to create a fun art project! Our friends started by painting on paper plates purple, then practiced gluing on legs to create a beautiful jelly fish!
Our toddlers loved getting to explore the ocean animals together this week and look forward to what next week will bring!
