This week we are learning all about Eric Carle!
On Monday, we started with one of our favorite Eric Carle stories “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”! We listened to the story while following along with felt board pieces. We got to meet Mr. Caterpillar and give him a little bath with a washing practical life activity.
On Tuesday, we started working on our Brown Bear, Brown Bear collage and learned all the different animals and corresponding colors in sign language!
On Wednesday, we read the story “The Very Busy Spider” and had a math lesson on the number 8! We counted the spider’s legs using our sand paper numerals and practiced tracing different numbers with our fingers.
On Thursday, we read “The Grouchy Lady Bug” and talked a lot about our emotions!
On Friday, we read the “Mixed up Chameleon” and celebrated FUN FRIDAY with a colorful water mixing fun! We were able to practice our fine motor/pouring skills and make observations and we mixed different colors together.
