This week in Infant House 1 we had a blast learning about the BEACH. We read the book “Beach Baby” which taught us about all the fun things we can do at the beach! We explored practical life beach materials like a bucket, shovels, sand castle molds, and sunglasses. We did a beach themed sensory activity where we explored some crinkly paper for tummy time. Along with lots of tummy time we also worked our gross motor skills by passing around a beach ball while in a seated position. Our Montessori material of the month that we are focusing on is the wooden egg and cup. Our infants spent lots of time exploring the two pieces and working our fine motor and grasping skills. We had so much exploring the beach with friends this week!
