This week in infant one our little turkeys were able to learn all about Arctic animals! Our themed books for this week were “Winter” and “Arctic Animals”. Our letter tray this week was the letter H! Our h named items included: a hippo, hotdog, a sandpaper tracing h, and a red h! We also continued to review about rectangles and rectangular prisms. We moved rectangle blocks from one taped rectangle to another, giving the example of empty and full! Our infants loved doing an “Arctic animal rescue”! We filled tubs with ice cubes, water, and animals and got them out to safety! We also did this activity with shaving cream for more sensory play. Infant one has also been getting into the holiday spirit with our classroom materials! Our friends loved exploring our holiday themed sensory bottles, green and red Montessori treasure baskets, tree ornaments, and a stacking Christmas tree puzzle!
