This week our theme was about Important people in history. We learned about Vincent Van Gogh. We painted Sun flowers with yellow, green, and brown paint. We discussed Martin Luther King Jr. and made a booklet about him. We discussed how we can make this world a better place by being kind, helpful, caring and treating everyone with kindness.
We also learned about Shakespeare and how important his work was for poetry and literature. The children also learned about Michelangelo and how he was famous for painting and sculpting. We made our own creations with clay- rocks, cup, a face, bowl etc. The children had fun being creative and using their own imagination!
We also learned about the letter m M. We reviewed words starting with Mm.
Next week our theme is Baking/ Cooking.
