This week in Toddler House 2 we talked about fire safety! We did lots of talking about firefighters and how they keep us safe. We learned about all the different accessories and items firefighters need in order to be ready to keep us safe from fires, such as their fire trucks, fire extinguishers, hats and uniforms, and we even talked about Dalmatians!
We enjoyed dressing up in our dramatic play area as firefighters together, pretending to keep each other safe. We enjoyed working our creativity skills and getting a bit messy with painting, using the colors we see in fire. This was a good opportunity for building our color recognition skills as we identified colors together and then painted them!
We also enjoyed a fun sensory activity using shaving cream to represent the foam from fire extinguishers. We loved getting to explore the foam together and squish it around objects and the table.
We had a fun week learning how to stay safe together and we look forward to next week!
