This week in Toddler House 2 we learned all about apples!
We loved getting to talk during our group times about the characteristics of an apple together! We talked about the size, shape, color, and weight of apples! We also enjoyed reading our weekly book of “Ten Apples Up On Top” by Dr. Seuss. While reading we practiced our counting skills, and worked our hardest on counting from 1-10.
In art this week we enjoyed creating hand print apples and using markers to color in apple pictures.
As a fun sensory activity we used red play doh and pipe cleaners to make apples together. This was a good time for us to practice our fine motor muscles and we squished and molded the dough into a sphere shape and carefully placed our pipe cleaner leaves and stem!
It was a fun week learning about apples together and we look forward to next week!
