This week in Toddler House 2 we explored bugs and insects of all kinds!
We loved getting to use our hands to explore fun figurines of bugs we were familiar with, saying their names and colors!
We then got to create a home for our bugs. Through loose parts play we used our imagination skills to build habitats using play- doh, rocks, sticks, pipe cleaners, and leaves!
We worked our fine motor skills by being introduced to a new hole punching activity. We used a hand held hole puncher and our hand muscles to create small holes within cut outs of leaves. This made the leaves look similar to how they would look if a bug had been eating them!
We fueled our inner artist by painting a beautiful array of colors on butterfly cutouts!
Throughout this week we had so much fun reading, singing, and learning about bugs! We can’t wait to explore even more next week!
