Hello Toddler 2 Families!
We have had a fun week learning about the Presidents! On Tuesday we talked about George Washington and made George Washington masks. On Wednesday we talked about different symbols used in America and made bald eagle art using our hand prints! We looked at the American Flag and what color it is. We also looked at a map of the whole United States and pointed out Minnesota! On Thursday we talked about Abraham Lincoln and made our own log cabins for art. We also used blocks to practice our stacking, just like they do for log cabins. On Friday we talked about money and looked at the Presidents that are on the coins and bills. We used play-doh and pressed down the coins to make prints and looked at them up close with magnifying glasses. Next week’s theme is Feelings and Emotions and we have some very fun things planned! Remember to check your child’s art folder in their cubby before leaving on Friday! Have a great weekend!
