Infant House 1

This week in Infant House one we explored many new materials! We introduced an authentic Montessori material called the knobbed cylinders! This work focuses on the pincher muscles in the hand to grasp the knobs to pull out the cylinders. As the child grows with this work, it will serve as a problem solving material where the child figures out what holes the cylinders go into! We also introduced a new insect worm for our bug week! We loved exploring all the new textures of the insects! We ended the week with some sensory bags tapped to the floor!
