It was Montessori Education week! It was fun celebrating the and highlighting the education philosophy we teach and use every day. A large part of Montessori is practical life so we worked extra hard this week on pouring, scooping, folding blankets, and cutting with scissors. February is also Dental Month so we did a fun experiment with coke and a white egg to represent teeth and the effect sugary drinks have on the enamel on our teeth. In the same spirit, we also made a tooth out of paper and speckled it with black spots to represent germs so the children would visualize the concept.
