This week we learned all about the Chinese Lunar New Year! In Chinese culture the color red is significant, often representing happiness and good luck. To celebrate we made lanterns with red and yellow crepe paper and imitation money which was put into handmade Red envelops which are a traditional gift to children during the new year. Due to the cold weather, it hasn’t been safe to go outside so we’ve been finding large motor activities to do inside like bean bags, crawling through our tunnel, and using our parachute. Friday we had a Valentine’s Day Party! We are closed on Monday for President’s Day so everyone enjoy the long weekend!
