We continued our theme Cultures around the world this week! We learned about Sri Lanka – it’s flag, the map of Sri Lanka (island located in the Indian Ocean, just below India). We learned about the animals- tigers, elephants, lions, deer, and monkeys. We had fun seeing how a saree is worn, and other traditional clothes which are worn by Sri Lankan’s.
We also learned about Mexico – we colored the flag, the map of Mexico, and learned about it’s culture, traditions and clothes worn by them. Children had fun seeing and touching items from Mexico- pottery, musical instruments, Mexican hat and a corn husk doll. Just a friendly reminder – please remember to send snow pants, winter jacket, water proof mittens and boots for outside play time. Thank you for your cooperation!
Conferences will be held in person on the 24th of Nov. ( Wednesday) from 8 -4 pm at the River Valley- Bloomington-School.
