This week in CH1 we learned about community helpers!
We loved learning about a different forms of helpers within our communities. We talked about mail carriers, fire fighters, dentist, police officers, doctors and dentists! We enjoyed looking at pictures of them, using 3 parts Montessori cards and fun dress up clothes.
While learning about mail carriers, we practiced our fine motor writing skills and wrote letters, stuffed envelopes and send to our friends.
This week we also incorporated community helpers theme to our art project by making favorite community helpers hats, coloring police cars and making ambulance cars.
We continued our math skills by practicing number tracing and number recognition work.
In geometry we practice circles and spheres by using different round objects around the classroom, then incorporating them to make fun large muscle games. Also practicing sensory experiences by touching and feeling items.
This week by exploring and learning about community helpers we learned new vocabulary and language skills.
We loved getting to learn about all the different people who make our community awesome and we can’t wait for next week!
